چکیده

We propose a Ginzburg-Landau phenomenological model for the dependence of the critical temperature on microscopic strain in tetragonal high-Tc cuprates. Such a model is in agreement with the experimental results for LSCO under epitaxial strain, as well as with the hydrostatic pressure dependence of Tc in most cuprates. In particular, a nonmonotonic dependence of Tc on hydrostatic pressure, as well as on in-plane or apical microstrain, is derived. From a microscopic point of view, such results can be understood as due to the proximity to an electronic topological transition (ETT). In the case of LSCO, we argue that such an ETT can be driven by a strain-induced modification of the band structure, at constant hole content, at variance with a doping-induced ETT, as is usually assumed. Absence of magnetic-field-induced effects in the mid-infrared transmission of La2−xSrxCuO4 thin films

We report magnetotransmission measurements on a series of La2−xSrxCuO4 thin films. The measurements were performed in magnetic fields of 18 T, on films with doping levels of x=0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.045, 0.06, 0.08, and 0.10. In addition, an optimally doped film x=0.16 was studied in magnetic fields up to 33 T, both above and below its superconducting critical temperature Tc=41 K. A combination of Ga...

Cuprates La2−xSrxCuO4 Studied by Angle-resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy

We have performed a systematic angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) study of the high-Tc cuprates La2−xSrxCuO4, ranging from the underdoped insulator to the superconductor to the overdoped metal. We have revealed a systematic doping evolution of the band dispersions and (underlying) Fermi surfaces, pseudogap and quasi-particle features under the influence of strong electron-electro...

Growth of Single Unit-Cell Superconducting La2−xSrxCuO4 Films

We have developed an approach to grow high quality ultrathin films of La2−xSrxCuO4 with molecular beam epitaxy, by adding a homoepitaxial buffer layer in order to minimize the degradation of the film structure at the interface. The advantage of this method is to enable a further reduction of the minimal thickness of a superconducting La1.9Sr0.1CuO4 film. The main result of our work is that a si...

نقش دینامیک شبکه در ابررسانای La2-xBaxCuO4 به روش DFT

Electron-phonon coupling parameters are calculated for La2-x BaxCuO4 cuprate superconductor in a wide range of dopings, from undoped to overdoped compounds. In this study we aim to study the quality of such calculations based on DFT method so, the results of σ GGA+U electronic structure calculations are also investigated. The obtained value for electron-phonon coupling is in the same order of p...

Measurements of the doping effects on the in-plane paraconductivity in cuprate superconductors

We will summarize here some of our measurements of the superconducting fluctuations effects on the in-plane electrical resistivity (the so-called in-plane paraconductivity) in La2−xSrxCuO4 thin films with different Sr content. Our results suggest that these superconducting fluctuations effects are not related to the opening of a pseudogap in the normal-state of underdoped compounds.
